At E3 2021, we were treated to the first official look at the new adventure, which promises even more slime hunting fun as the first game. So we can hope that this is just a temporary exclusivity, although at the time of writing we haven’t received an official statement from the developers.
If you’re a longtime fan, you may remember that the original game was only released on PC and Xbox in 2016 before coming to the PS4 in 2018. While the sequel won’t be available on PlayStation devices at launch, it’s possible we’ll see it ported to PlayStation 4 and 5 a few years after the release date ofSlime Rancher 2. Unfortunately, the sequel won’t be coming to the PlayStation 4 or 5, as it was revealed at E3 in 2021 that it would be an Xbox-exclusive game. Additionally, the game will be available on Game Pass from day one. The game will be released on Xbox Series X|S and PC. Slime Rancher 2 is currently scheduled for release in 2022.
